Hello...

I'm Susan Williams

I’ve been helping and supporting businesses and individuals for over 25 years. I started off in retail on the shop floor, then ran my boutique homeware shop, before moving back of house into administration, production, and package planning, working with buyers, artworkers, technicians, designers, and overseas suppliers. I’ve also been a PA to directors at a university, a VA to a tech consultant and a book editor, and a Virtual Office Manager to a start-up and a charity.

I have a real passion for retail – I worked (briefly) in an Amazon warehouse because I was curious to see how it operates - and I’m striving to become more of an ethical consumer. It’s a learning curve; I’m constantly reading up to expand my knowledge and I have moved to almost exclusively buying preloved clothes on eBay. If I need anything new, I aim to buy quality from brands that are transparent with their working practices and values, and who aim to contribute towards people, animals, and planet. 

I’m a bit of a geek when it comes to tech and can get up to speed quickly on new computer software and applications. I also like to find solutions to problems; for example, a start-up asked me to find a virtual office landline number for business clients and enquiries. The service I found was simple to set up and proved successful (and I now use it for my own business).

Although I prefer to work remotely, as I toggle between the UK and my home in Essaouira, Morocco, I’m more than happy to meet up in person. In the UK, I’m based near Birmingham, about an hour from Manchester, and often visit Bristol and London for extended stays.
